Can Gallstones cause shoulder pain?

Pain that occurs simultaneously in the neck and shoulder is considered to be benign and is usually caused due to strain or sprain. In some cases, neck and shoulder pain may be a sign of heart disease or stroke. Some of the other causes for neck and shoulder pain include soft tissue injuries, rotator cuff tear, muscle or ligament tear, cervical spondylosis, herniated disc, improper seating and sleeping posture, shoulder dislocation, etc. Did you know that even having gallbladder stones can cause neck and shoulder pain? Pain in your shoulder, especially your right shoulder is a sign of gallstones obstructing the duct in the gallbladder sometimes. The pain might be felt around your neck and shoulder blades. The pain is often described as sudden and sharp.
